Senior players compete in the Cairns Baseball League (CBL). Our senior teams are chosen on ability as well as personal preference with Division 1 being the elite competition. Other Divisions (2/3) are used as opportunities to develop players preparing them for the higher grades. Division 3 is also aimed at social- and new-to-baseball players. The CBL season runs from April/May to September. Pre-season selection and/or training begins March/April. ​

​Games for all divisions are played on a Sunday at Cairns Baseball Fields Trinity Beach. Sometimes Division 1 games are played on a Friday evening. The game draw (timetable) is determined by the CBL and not by our club. The on-field uniform requirements:

• Cairns Reds Playing Jersey
• Cairns Reds Baseball Cap
• Grey Baseball Pants
• Red Belt
• Groin Protector
• Red Socks
• Baseball Cleats

​Equipment: Our club provides a team equipment kit bag which has batting helmets, catchers kit and bats. You will need to have your own baseball glove. If you are considering getting your own bat, batting helmet or other equipment it is worth speaking to a coach about the right equipment to purchase.

​Training occurs at the Trinity Beach Sports Precinct. Training is every week on Thurdays from 5:30pm during the season. The teams coach will notify if there are any variations to training times.
